I have a confession to make. Up until this year, I had never watched any of the Star Wars movies! Gasp! I had no idea what I was missing. Over two nights, I stayed up with my husband binge watching each episode. Oh, they were amazing! It is such a powerful story with so many metaphors about the light and the dark. The happy and the unhappy. I especially loved Yoda and all of his wisdom! My favorite quote of his is “Do or don’t do, there is no try!” I use this quote in my presentations a lot. In fact, I stopped using the word “try” after I heard this! Or at least, I “try”…
In the world of all or most things happy, I wanted to impart what I got from the wonderful Star Wars movies about happiness.
Here are 5 Things That Star Wars Can Teach Us About Happiness?
- Yoda is always right, follow his wisdom and you can’t go wrong!
- Everybody starts off with good intentions. If you let your emotions get the best of you, then you risk sacrificing your own happiness.
- “You are not a Jedi yet” means there is still more room for you to grow and discover yourself. Does anybody really ever become a “Jedi”?
- If you fight for what you want, anything is possible, even if the odds are against you.
- You ultimately get to choose the dark or light. It is up to you to choose wisely.
Final Happy Thoughts
Thank you George Lucus for allowing us to experience this wonderful story with us! It has inspired so many people!
